From the Von Trapp Family, made famous by the film, "The Sound of Music", after escaping Nazi invaded Austria, settled into the Green Mountains of Vermont and their family operated lodge includes a sugaring house you can tour.

Alex and Chris carry out a record breaking year for maple syrup at the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe Vermont. With over 500 gallons of syrup harvested, the men had many long days in the sugar house loading the evaporator the same way that it's been done for generations.
