IN PRODUCTION

A short form story of 30mins weaves in between the National Elk Refuge Staff and Volunteers and the Jackson District Boy Scout troops that work together every spring for the last 50 years leading up to the annual Elk Antler Auction.

A quirky story that chronicles some of the habitat restoration that takes place every spring after elk have shed their antler and migrated. Once seen only as a nuisance, antlers are now continuously picked up by Refuge staff and volunteers to prevent damage to machinery and to also prevent poaching. The rising price and demand for antler has arguably been influenced by the extravagant Elk Antler Auction and Elk Fest, but also by unusual uses across the world.

Follow the younger of the scouts as they search for antler on the Boy Scout permitted harvest day.
